PROFESSIONAL PROFILE:
Henry M. Brashen received his Ph.D. in Speech Communication, with an interpersonal and intercultural focus, from the University of Washington. His dissertation was completed at International Christian University in Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Brashen is currently the program director for the Master of Science in Leadership and the Bachelor of Science in Communications at Walden University. He is founder of Clear and Effective Communications.
Dr. Brashen is an expert in research, design, methodology, succession planning, survey design, facilitation, training and coaching. He has proven results from his clients. Dr. Brashen designed and developed surveys that measure organizational effectiveness, and has written many training programs. He has worked with organizations throughout the country on topics ranging from succession planning, listening, coaching, performance management and male/female communication to leadership, the performance appraisal process, conflict resolution, negotiation, and train the trainers. He is the author of numerous articles and has conducted extensive research throughout Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, and West Indies. His skill in interpersonal relations enhances his ability to partner with his clients. He has won numerous teaching awards, and his programs are consistently evaluated as excellent.
